PISCES NEW MOON ::Sinking Deeper Into Spirit

PISCES NEW MOON ::Sinking Deeper Into Spirit

We are winding down the last couple of weeks of the astrological year, and the Sun is moving through the last decan of Pisces. Mother Nature is preparing for her bloom and rebirth, and so are we

Coming into conscious connection with all versions and dimensions of ourselves.

by Alisha Palmer aka @Cosmic.Ali

The last New Moon of this journey around the zodiac is upon us, caressing the skies in its darkness, its stillness. The luminaries meet in Pisces on March 10 at 1:00 am PT at 20 degrees, wrapping up a 12 month cycle as we prepare for the Astrological New Year and Spring Equinox on March 19. As we set intentions and plant seeds for the season ahead, we simultaneously recognize and release anything restricting our growth — physically, emotionally, mentally, energetically, spiritually. Full surrender.

On the opposite end of the spectrum from earthy Virgo, watery Pisces transcends the terrestrial, lifting us into our spirit consciousness, connecting us to our divinity. It bridges dimensions from the physical to the spiritual, honing in on the relationship between mind and body. Attune to this cosmic presence within you.

Cultivate Compassion

During the previous Full Moon, we spoke about Virgo’s connection to the health and wellness of our physical bodies. Sister Sign Pisces inspires us to care for and tend to our mental health. No matter what you may be experiencing, going through, feeling, or navigating, do your best to call in and cultivate compassion for yourself to meet yourself where you’re at, here and now. Total acceptance, for all parts of you.

Tell yourself how much you love yourself, and mean it. What does that feel like for you? Do you bask in the brilliance of that sensation or do you struggle to receive it?

Allow this soft energy to penetrate your heart, melting away any resistance and opening you more to the grace and goodness of this Universe. Remembering, this special Source resides within you, too. Pour into yourself. Fill your cup, beautiful soul.

Remember Your Divinity

We are spirits embodied on Earth, carrying the collective consciousness within. We are so much more than these physical forms. Last month we focused on honoring the bodies that host our souls. For this Pisces lunation, our focus shifts to honoring the spirits that occupy these terrestrial temples. Celebrate the expansiveness of your being. You are everything, all at once. You are the Universe, living and breathing.

Sit in ceremony with Spirit/God/Universe/Higher Power, holding reverence for the beliefs that ring true for you. Recognize the reflection of this energy within you. Give thanks to the unique and one of a kind expression in which you have been gifted in this life. Nobody else can do you, like you can. Your soul came into this life with a purpose, for a purpose. Let your light shine. Let your spirit be free.

Know that along your path here on this planet, you are cosmically supported beyond your wildest dreams. Know your worth. Step into your power. Believe in yourself.

Dreams & Subconscious Depths

Pisces rules over our dreams, our lucid existence, the depths of our subconscious. Pay extra attention to any messages that may be coming through for you on these levels, especially any encoded signs and symbolisms. Spend extra time in meditation or sacred silence with yourself to enhance and strengthen this connection to your inner voice, inner knowing, inner vision, inner world.

Work with this New Moon to rewrite, re-script, rework, and reprogram any outdated beliefs or spiritual systems still operating within you underneath your aware mind. Dig deep below the surface, courageously and compassionately swimming to the bottom of your internal ocean to release the narratives and stories still playing out that no longer serve you. Let go of any narratives telling you to play small, and dream bigger.

Closing Out The Astrological Year

We are winding down the last couple of weeks of the astrological year, and the Sun is moving through the last decan of Pisces. Mother Nature is preparing for her bloom and rebirth, and so are we. Care for your internal ecosystem at this time, clearing out any residue or debris. Till the soil of your inner garden, creating space for fresh growth. Pisces is the final sign of the zodiac, which dissolves, dissipates, breaks down. Allow this next chapter of life to unfold. Surrender to whatever changes you may feel stirring within you as new life births within. Embrace this transition.

During this shift of seasons, move at a pace that best serves you. The next week or two may feel time-warped as we close one chapter and begin anew. No rush, babe. Honor yourself and your spirit.

Our New Moon is also taking place alongside daylight savings — time is truly shifting and we are welcoming more light. PS: Don’t forget to change your clocks!

The Lunation Rulers

In ancient astrology, Pisces is ruled by Jupiter, the planet of expansion, exploration, truth, justice, and growth. In modern astrology, Pisces is ruled by Neptune, the planet of inspiration, dreams, creativity, confusion, and delusion.

In the chart of this New Moon, we see that both cosmic bodies are quite activated. Let’s take a closer look to break down the energetics at play.

Jupiter is currently transiting through the fixed earth sign of Taurus, inching closer to a conjunction to Uranus and sitting in a sextile to Saturn in Pisces. With this harmonious contact to Saturn, we receive support and resources with what we are grounding down and into. We will chat more about the Uranian influence below, as we identify more of the celestial conditions of the chart at play.

Neptune is co-present with our luminaries and Saturn in mutable Pisces, coming off of a recent conjunction to Mercury, which we will likely still be feeling quite strongly at the time of this lunation. This planetary pairing may offer inspiration in the mental realms, enhancing our dreams and visions, or it may manifest as a disorientation of sorts, knocking us into fantasy land. To navigate this cloudy combination, drop deeply into your inner knowing, your intuitive internal guidance. Follow what feels true for you. All you need is within you. You know the way through.

Celestial Conditions Of The New Moon Chart

The sign of Pisces is extra amplified with the presence of not only our Sun and Moon, but also Saturn and Neptune, which we touched on above when discussing lunation rulership. Saturn is the planet of reality, while Neptune represents the otherworldly. The balancing of these two archetypes may feel conflicting or contradictory, yet offers an opportunity to ground more of our dreams and visions into this physical plane.

At the time of this New Moon, Mercury has just finished its travels through this starry space and has freshly entered Aries, paving the way for the Sun to follow soon, igniting a new zodiacal cycle. After leaving a sign in which it struggles to fully express itself and passing through the conjunction to Neptune, Mercury is finally revitalized and revved up upon this ingress. Use this energizing effect to speak with confidence, allowing our voices to take up space. Sextiling Pluto in addition, we may notice an extra depth or intensity to matters of the mind or within our conversations.

While Mercury is the topic of conversation, it’s imperative to point out that our Mystical Messenger will soon be entering its pre-retrograde shadow period as of March 18, when it hits 15 degrees of Aries. This means that Mercury is crossing over the degree point that it will soon retrograde back to later in April, and we have now entered territory that will be up for reflection and revision.

One of the biggest signatures in this New Moon chart is a square between Mars in Aquarius and Uranus in Taurus, which went exact hours before this lunation. The planet of action, instincts, and temperament hits a tension point with the planet of liberation, awakening, and rebellion. The tone of this transit will likely have us feeling called to break free of any restrictions or limitations holding us back in any way. This dynamic may also bring an electric and inventive energy to the forefront.

The Sun is in sextile to Uranus, spotlighting this aspect. Additionally, as mentioned earlier, Jupiter ties into this by being in a close enough range to Uranus to amplify and magnify this cosmic contact. During our last Virgo Full Moon, both Venus and Mars formed this same square to Jupiter, so there may be lingering themes.

Speaking of Venus, our Goddess of Love is crossing over the final degree of Aquarius, about to enter Pisces on March 11, the day after this New Moon. Accompanying all of these other astro unfoldings, we will also be feeling the planet of relationships and abundance experiencing a heightened culmination as she completes her stay in this fixed air sign.

Note that not only is this the last New Moon of the astrological year, but our next lunation ushers in eclipse season with a Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Libra. We may feel extra heightened or charged in the weeks to come with this cosmic occurrence building in the background. Again, surrender, surrender, surrender. Affirm that all is unfolding in alignment with your highest timeline. And so it is.

NEW MOON RITUAL : Loving Compassion Meditation

With Pisces representing the higher ideals of love, kindness, and compassion, we will focus this New Moon’s ritual around these potent and powerful themes.

1) To begin, as always, we will create a cozy atmosphere for ourselves to tap in. Set your space in a way that surrounds you with peace and calming presence. Follow what feels best for you here, but here are a few suggestions for inspiration: grab some pillows/blankets to nest into, light a candle or incense, prepare a hot cup of herbal tea, play healing frequencies or binaural beats through your speakers.

2) After setting up, come to a comfortable seated position. Sitting up straight, stacking your spine one vertebrae on top of the next, making a clear, streamlined path for energy to flow. Roll your shoulders back down and away from your ears. Release any tension held in the jaw. Allowing gravity to plant your hips down, reach your root for the earth and crown to the sky, lengthening, stretching, creating space.

3) We will establish a connection to the breath, inhaling deeply through the nose and exhaling slowly from the mouth. Feel free to close your eyes here, dropping into your own unique rhythm and bodily beat. Fill the body with this cleansing life force energy.

4) On an inhale, float your arms out to the sides and up overhead, palms meeting together in the sky. On an exhale, drop your hands down in front of your heart center. Find repetition here in this movement as you breathe into and activate your anahata (heart) chakra. Feel as the energy builds and radiates from this space.

5) When you’re feeling ready to move into the next phase of this ritual, meet with your hands at your heart center. Palms may be in prayer, or laying flat over your chest.

6) Think about someone or something that you love unconditionally, that lights you up. Feel your heart space well up with this loving frequency, allowing it to expand with every heartbeat. With this person/thing in mind, send this light to them energetically. Envision them being covered in this bright presence.

7) Now that you’ve magnified this energy, feel it wash over you. Give yourself permission to meet yourself with this same, unconditional love. Let it permeate you from the inside out. Soak in the grace, the forgiveness, the compassion, the depth that accompanies this powerful essence. Meet any resistance arising with kindness.

8) After sitting in this beautiful space with yourself, complete this meditation ritual by sending this love to the overall collective. See in your mind’s eye as your love travels through your home, your neighborhood, your city, your country, and beyond to all of humanity. We are One. Our individual healing work ripples into the world around us.

9) Know that this loving energy that you’ve extended from within isn’t from anywhere outside of you, but instead residing within you. Remember that you have the ability to tap into this warm radiance any time, feeling it for yourself or extending it outwardly.
